Namaste, My name is Lisa Young, and I am the mother of 2, business owner, and yogini. I have been a yoga teacher for 16 years and my specialty for 9 years has been prenatal and postnatal yoga. I was inspired and transformed through my first blissful pregnancy and empowering birth experience, to share the benefits of yoga with pregnant women. I had a smooth, easy pregnancy and quick, easy natural birth, and I am confident my consistent yoga practice and tools had something to do with this.
You, too can have a joyful healthy pregnancy and an amazing positive birth experience. You are biologically engineered for pregnancy and birth, and yoga teaches that we have everything we need inside. Yoga helps us remember and trust our body's wisdom and innate strength. Prenatal Yoga will also help you relax, connect with your baby, and prepare you mentally and physically for this exciting opportunity of a lifetime - your birth and motherhood! It will help you heal and strengthen after pregnancy and birth, too.
Yoga will soften the intensity of all the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy. It will leave you feeling confident, calm, and beautiful.
Angelina Ticic (Teacher)
Over 2 decades ago I entered a local Iyengar Yoga studio in Sydney Australia and from that very first class I knew I was tapping into something profound. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever teach yoga because weren’t all yoga teachers flexible? Here I was, a rigid athlete barely able to sit cross legged.
After years of practicing and experiencing different yoga styles in New York City it was time to leave my bartending gig and dig a little deeper into this yoga thing. Still, I was never going to actually teach yoga.
I went through a 200 hour Vinyasa training followed by a mentorship program then later immersed myself in a 500 hour Hatha Teacher Training. It was really after this time that I realized what I offered was a little different than the typical yoga teacher. I started working with athletes then later began specializing in Women’s Health, Pre/Post Natal and Victims of Sex Trafficking. It was also during this time I became an Advanced Reiki Practitioner with the Center for Living Light.
So here I am living in beautiful Austin (via Sydney, NYC and Miami Beach) with my husband and our 2 daughters while teaching Barre3, Pilates and Yoga.
