Lisa has been a teacher for 7 years, with over 1500 hours of teaching experience, and is certified in both power and vinyasa yoga. Lisa was inspired to complete her prenatal and postnatal yoga certification after the natural birth of her daughter, Alexandra, in 2008. At Lisa's prenatal class, mindfulness and precision unite with movement and breath to create a practice that is challenging, balanced, introspective, and calming. She feels privileged to share the benefits of prenatal yoga with you, unlocking the wisdom and power you have inside to enjoy your pregnancy and birth!
I strongly believe in the power of yoga to enhance the incredible mind/body transformation of being pregnant and to help ease and shorten labor. I practiced yoga throughout my entire pregnancy, all the way through labor. I praise my yoga practice for not only feeling great throughout my pregnancy but also for having an easy and quick natural birth. It was the most empowering experience of my life, and my hope is for you to feel empowered and transformed through the incredible power of giving birth. Every woman deserves to feel this way at labor and birth; I feel it is our birth right as women.
Yoga also helped me to deal with the constant mental and emotional changes of pregnancy. It also helped me to tune-out all the fear and negativity you hear about pregnancy and birth. Which in turn, allowed me to listen to and trust my own inner voice and intuition, instilling confidence and joy in my own innate powers to have a positive pregnancy, labor, and birth.
